Evolving Ecosystem

Just like the Tamagotchi, each fish starts with eggs and lives for around 7 days in which you will see it as an energetic kid, an inquisitive teen, a mature adult and as a wise elder.

Adults lay new eggs and eventually after 7 days, die. The cycle continues in this constantly evolving ecosystem.

However, unlike Tamagotchi, they don’t need to be fed and cleaned after. Instead, they depend on your environment !

Environment Sensing

Using integrated sensors, Livegrid measures temperature, humidity and CO2 levels of the surroundings.

These values directly effect the visuals of the ecosytem and behavior of the fish in a way that if the environment is healthy for you, the ecosystem will be healthy as well.

If you see the fish are white and stop moving, simply open the windows and let some fresh air in. The fish will be happy again, and you will be healthy again.

The ecosystem’s health is linked to your own health!

Here after a succesful Kickstarter !

Livegrid was succesfully funded on Kickstarter on June 2024, and succesfully shipped out all the rewards by the end of October 2024.

We have now properly setup and are ready for shipping Livegrid out to you.

Check out the campaign here to see how it all started.

Can it do this and that?

Probably yes.

Interactive

Accompanying web-app lets you interact with Livegrid is numerous different ways.

Fully Open Source

Connect to Home Assistant, MQTT, APIs, or completely change the software. It’s all open source!

Livegrid is loaded with advanced features for users looking to customise or push boundaries further. All this is enabled by a Progressive Web App (PWA) hosted within the device.

However, the app is a non-essential feature and Livegrid works perfectly fine without it.

The open-source software and hardware is meant to help you understand its internals and make Livegrid your own. Check out more details here on github.

eDMX

Stream visuals via Art-Net or SACN at 30fps at minimal latency via wireless Wi-Fi.
