Tamagotchi
Inspired
The ecosystem is full of creatures, each starting as an egg and living for around 7 days. You will see them growing slowly and gracefully.
Adults lay new eggs and eventually die. The cycle continues in this constantly evolving ecosystem.
Every creature is different, and every Livegrid is unique. It’s a constantly evolving ecosystem !
However, unlike Tamagotchi, they don’t need to be fed and cleaned after. Instead, they depend on your environment !
Environment
Sensing
Using integrated sensors, Livegrid measures temperature, humidity and CO2 levels of the surroundings.
These values directly effect the ecosytem. A bad environment leads to miserable and tired ecosystem, and a good one leads to an active and lively one.
Fix your environment with a simple action (like opening a window to let fresh air in), and it will be healthy again, as will you !
The ecosystem’s health is linked to your own health!

Here after a succesful Kickstarter !
Livegrid was succesfully funded on Kickstarter on June 2024, and succesfully shipped out all the rewards by the end of October 2024.
We have now properly setup and are ready for shipping Livegrid out to you.
Check out the campaign here to see how it all started.

“Livegrid is one of the most unique air quality monitors I’ve ever used. It takes something as mundane as carbon dioxide monitoring and turns it into a visual, interactive experience…
It stands out in a sea of generic monitors.”

Jona, Belgium with high CO2 levels.

I've had "smart" devices work not nearly half as good as what you have. Super happy it's all local with home assistant and stuff.
Jonathan, U.S.
Can it do this and that?
Probably yes.
Interactive
Accompanying web-app lets you interact with Livegrid is numerous different ways.
Fully Open Source
Connect to Home Assistant, MQTT, APIs, or completely change the software. It’s all open source!
Retro look
The low resolution but surprisingly bright display gives you an aesthetic like no other.
Web-app
Livegrid is loaded with advanced features for users looking to customise or push boundaries further. All this is enabled by a Progressive Web App (PWA) hosted within the device.
However, the app is a non-essential feature and Livegrid works perfectly fine without it.
The open-source software and hardware is meant to help you understand its internals and make Livegrid your own. Check out more details here on github.
eDMX
Stream visuals via Art-Net or SACN at 30fps at minimal latency via wireless Wi-Fi.
Get multiple panels together and make a bigger display.
Use Madmapper, Resolume Arena, Touchdesigner, p5js, Unity or any similar software effortlessly.
Host the coolest parties, impress your friends and their friends.
